  1. Polyhymnia is the Muse goddess of sacred poetry, sacred hymn, dance, and eloquence, as well as agriculture and pantomime. She is depicted as very serious, pensive and meditative, and often holding a finger to her mouth, dressed in a long veil and resting her elbow on a pillar. Polyhymnia is also sometimes credited as being the Muse of geometry and meditation.

Powers

Offensive

  1. Children of Polyhymnia can sustain a high pitch with their voice, that is so loud it will temporarily stun or deafen anyone around them, its effects are temporary and it affects everyone around them, friend or foe. They can also do this with a musical instrument as well.

Defensive

  1. Children of Polyhymnia have the ability to use music to perform healing procedures on minor injuries and on soothing the pain of major and fatal wounds.
  2. Children of Polyhymnia have the ability to emit an irresistible song that it distracts anyone hearing the tune for a short period of time; however, the song acts as a beacon, luring any listener to the user.

Passive

  1. Children of Polyhymnia curse others to only speak or sing in rhyming couplets that can take days or even weeks to wear off (depending on strength and number of people in the spell), the longer it lasts the more energy it drains

Supplementary

  1. Children of Polyhymnia have the ability to meditate in order to calm themselves or quicken the rate of healing; the longer they stay meditative, the more energy it drains and they are more vulnerable while doing this.
  2. Children of Polyhymnia have the ability to calm others with music, or they may also inspire them.
